We are currently accepting select Adult and Young Adult novels in exchange for honest reviews as well as potential mentions here on the blog as well as on our Instagram bookclub page and Goodreads account, according to our own discretion.

We accept print ARCs, finished copies and audiobooks.

If the book is part of a series, we may need the previous books as well in order to place context, cohesiveness etc.

We accept Adult and Young Adult novels in the following genres:

  • Cozy and Murder Mystery
  • Biography and Autobiographies

ACCEPTING BOOKS

If we accept a book for review, that does not guarantee a positive review. We will be honest about our feelings towards the books we receive. Reviews may be done in a number of ways including, but not limited to, Instagram review where we discuss our reaction with our followers, Goodreads star review and/or written review, blog discussion post about the book.

We will make every effort to read and review a book in a timely fashion and with mindfulness in regard to release dates. Please be proactive and allow 4-6 weeks prior to when you would like the review posted. Either Kenzie or Jen will be in charge of a book review according to our tastes and time available.

REVIEWS

Every book we finish will receive a review. However, if while reading we feel that the book does not blend well with our readers’ interests or our own, we reserve the right to stop reading it and we will not review it. If that is the case we will contact the author and/or publisher directly and return the book or discuss other ways to promote the author/book such as author interviews or giveaway to one of our followers.

We write fair and honest reviews, which does not mean they will always be positive. We take into consideration character development, author’s voice, cadence of the plot, subject matter and cohesion along with many other parameters for story. Our reviews are the personal opinions we have formed and our reviews reflect those opinions. Our readers trust our judgement and rely on our pre-reading in order so that they may pick out books that fit their taste and are worth spending their valuable time reading.

We will be honest and fair, and explain any reasons for why a book didn’t work for us without being rude or defamatory to the novel or it’s author.

REVIEW STRUCTURE

All reviews will include the following:

  • Synopsis
  • Our honest review
  • Whether readers should buy or borrow the novel
  • Star rating
  • Favorite or important quotes from the book

STAR RATING

We rate books on a five star scale, one being we didn’t like the novel at all, and five being we loved the novel and would recommend to others, or potentially use it as a bookclub read in the future.

We never give a book less than one star. We do use half stars.

GIVEAWAYS

We are happy to host a giveaway for you! Our criteria for hosting giveaways for books is the same as they are for reviewing books. If you can not provide a beautiful picture of the book for us to use, you are responsible for sending us the book so we may take appropriate pictures that coincide with our vision for our blog and Instagram account. If we receive the book, we will ship it to the winner.

We randomly select winners.
